Busy October

It already has been a month since my last post -.-
Life has been crazy lately, so I wanted to give a quick overview of my October.

School was pretty busy. I had to prepare and give two presentations. This means a lot of work for just 10 minutes of talking in front of your professors. Most people don't get that much sleep during these periods. This time I managed to get some sleep in :) But my presentations weren't that good.. maybe I should have worked all nights straight. Cause that's what being an architecture student is all about..

I've been doing a lot of other things as well. I finally managed to finish two other products for tiny purple treehouse to be 3D printed at Shapeways! Because of Sandy, the servers of Shapeways were offline for a few days. Fortunately they're back on now and they can process orders again. I hope everyone affected by the storm is doing ok now!
Also, I've been working on new different products for tiny purple treehouse. No 3D printing this time. For now it's gonna be a secret what they are..  I want to finish my prototypes first ;)

It's fall again! The weather in Holland has been the same as every other year. One day, clear blue skies and a nice breeze of fresh air. The next day, lots of rain, grey skies and a mean wind. No matter what the weather is like, I still enjoy the beautiful view of yellow and orange leaves falling to the ground. Plus, now I can finally wear nice warm sweaters and scarves again!
One night, my boyfriend couldn't sleep, so he decided to go outside and shoot some pretty pictures. Don't they reflect the perfect fall feeling?

I'm gonna get back to my schoolwork -.-
Have a nice week!

Xx

  1. Sorry your presentations didn't go as well as you wanted. It would be nice to not need sleep, huh?
Wow, you were affected by the storm too, even half way across the world. Glad your shop is back up and ready for sales. Your rings are adorable!

    1. Thanks for your nice comment! haha yes, that would be awesome! so many more hours we could spend :)
I was kinda surprised about it actually. Since they also have an office/printers in the Netherlands. But I guess all their servers are somehow connected. Thank you! I really appreciate it ^^

  2. Glad you were able to get through your presentations and still get some sleep. My little sister is trying to get into graphic design school right now. She'll find out in December. I've got my fingers crossed for her that she gets in.

From what you say, the weather there changes so much from day to day, but the colored leaves really make any day so much brighter.

    1. Hi! Thank you :)
oeh that's so exciting! I hope she will pass! I would love to attend a graphic design school someday, but for now I learn a bit at my architecture study ;) I'll keep my fingers crossed as well! will you let me know the result?

Yes! it's unbelievable there are still so many leaves hanging on the trees. So more days to enjoy the pretty view

    2. Architecture is such an amazing degree! Wow!

I'll definitely keep you posted on my sister getting into design school.

Also, per your comment on my blog, I'm so excited you knit your first scarf. I really want to learn to knit one of these days. So far I only crochet. Are you going to share pictures of your scarf??

    3. Thanks! =D

I used to crochet myself for much longer. Just last year I picked up knitting. You should really try it! It's super easy (I only do one stitch hehe)
And I'm planning to show some pictures, but haven't got around on taking some good ones ;)

  3. I have seen so many 3D printed objects during the Dutch Design Week, shape ways also had a showcase. Love the concept behind the business. Anyway, good luck with all the school work! Make sure you sleep every now and then ;)
