This winter/autumn I started making myself some nice and warm accessories. Today we start with the first one in a serie: a cozy knitted scarf!
I actually started this project last year, but spring was already there when I was halfway..
So I finished it this year! It was even still autumn when I attached the little tassels. These photos were also taken in that time.
For this scarf I used a double tread and knitting needles
in size 9. I don't remember exactly how much wool I used.. I think about
5-6 balls of yarn. It's around 3,5 m long.
I used the simplest
stitch, the garter stitch. Since it's practically just one stitch, I
didn't have to think about where I left off, plus I like the way it
looks.
Because this was my first (finished) knitting project, I'm not too bumped by some fallen stitches and the fact it has more tassels on one side than the other because apparently, I've dropped quite a few stitches.. hehe
Some of my other autumn/winter essentials: printed leggings and shearling lined boots!
I have some more wintery accessories in stock. In the meantime, can you tell me your winter essentials? :)
Your scarf is just beautiful! I love the ribbed detail to it. The tassels are a lot of fun too. I always get the itch to crochet once it gets cooler out in the fall and winter too.

It turned out lovely! I bet it is warm too! I have a scarf with a hood to it, I bought it, didn't make it, but is my favourite ever!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThank you!! yes it's super warm!
VerwijderenSo cool to have a scarf like that! always wanted to have one since most my jackets don't have a hood.. Can't do without a hood in this rainy country ;)
